On sufficient substantiation for maximum permissible level of zilpaterol in meat products

چکیده
The Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee recommends the maximum permissible level of zilpaterol in meat to be fixed at 0.5 µg/kg. This is substantiated by results analysis described several research works. Nevertheless, substantiation provided for this recommended standard requires a detailed discussion. In study, we aimed analyze suggestions on (MPL) as per health risks consumers. Our revealed that no observed adverse effect (NOAEL) and lowest (LOAEL) were established allowing negative effects various organs systems body. under acute exposure was taken baseline establishing MPL. produces nervous system (developing tremor). However, modifying factors used MPL development have not been supported with solid argument. We also LOAEL identified much lower than NOAELs other chronic exposure. Therefore, aforementioned seem rather controversial. It necessary consider another additional factor, which wide prevalence cardiovascular diseases among adult population risk cause their development. potential are less important should note they reliably detected both experiments. modeled caused consuming products residual levels; dynamics. modeling experiment an impermissible outcomes occurred even levels close limit sensitivity. Consequently, it seems premature accept being suggested present. cut its down detection.

The Effect of Frying Process on the Level of Malondialdehyde in Different Meat Products
Background: Frying is one of the popular cooking methods for the preparation of food especially meat products. However, this process has some adverse effects, such as lipid oxidation that results in deterioration and rancidity of food during preparation and storage. Malondialdehyde (MDA) as a secondary product of oxidation is commonly used as an index of rancidity in food products. However...
متن کاملZilpaterol Hydrochloride Effects on Red Meat Yield and Quality
Zilpaterol hydrochloride is a β-adrenergic agonist, which belongs to a group of compounds known as catecholamines. β-Adrenergic agonists activate β-receptors in muscle and fat causing increased lipolysis, decreased lipogenesis or increased protein accretion (Mersmann, 1998), or both. β-Adrenergic agonists vary greatly in their effect on meat animals. Supplementation of diets with β-agonists can...

Background: Nowadays, there is an increase of meat and animal carcass consumption worldwide. Due to the economic value of meat, the likelihood of using unauthorized tissue is possible in meat products. Based on these observations, the aim of the present study was to apply morphological method for detection of unauthorized tissues in processed meat products. Methods: In this study, a to...
